Akala Hula – Pink Hawaiian Flowers
Akala Hula means ‘pink dance’. These pink Hawaiian flowers along with whites and reds will come alive when displayed. A king protea from Maui highlights this tropical flower assortment. It also features several shades of pink.Tall heliconia, pink ginger, white orchid sprays and Lady Jane tulip anthuriums.
The king protea is a large, unusual flower. It can be allowed to dry and will retain its pinkish color for some time. The king makes a wide, low profile base however you choose to arrange the flowers. Pink ginger is a tall specimen flower. Use it to add height or trim the stem short to fill in lower spaces.
The tall ‘lobster claw’ heliconia will compete for attention as it is a large, bold tropical flower as well. Make sure it is well anchored as it is a bit heavy compared to other Hawaiian flowers.
The Lady Jane anthuriums are a coral color seldom seen on the mainland. They are smaller than the typical red anthuriums and are called tulip anthuriums. They add a lovely compliment to the lighter pink flowers.
The orchids add a bit of delicacy. These orchids are long lasting dendrobiums grown on the Big Island of Hawaii.
This pink tropical flowers assortment is suitable for both men and women. King protea can be hard to find in summer months when the weather on Maui is a bit warmer. If a suitable king is not available we will substitute one or more flowers to complete this assortment.
Comes as full length stem not arranged.
