Makuahine ‘Mother’ Assortment
This beautiful tropical flowers assortment was originally designed to feature the best of our season just to honor Mom on Mother’s Day. But the combination of tropical stems is perfect for anyone any time of year, not just for Mom.
Five different Hawaiian flowers and ti leaves make this an assortment with a lot of variety. Tall and large lobster claw heliconia draw the most attention in this tropical arrangement. They join a mix of red, green and pink anthurium for even more color. The safari sunset is an unusual bloom related to protea. It has a deep red, rose-like bud.
Tall, bold upright heliconia highlight this assortment. This flower is heavy with striking red bracts. This is the largest of our heliconia flowers.
Hawaiian anthurium are very common in Hawaiian flower arrangements. We send full length stems of red, green and pink flowers.
Also called leucodendron. This interesting flower resembles a large dark red rose bud. It opens widely and also has deep reddish leaves. Note that if safari sunset are not available we will substitute a tall red or exotic ginger to complete your assortment. If these are not available we will substitute exotic ginger.
Hala, Monstera and Ti Leaves
Ti leaves are used in many of our Hawaiian flower arrangements. They add a dark green color to the display. Ti leaves can be placed full length or gently folded under as shown. Hala leaves add a lighter green with a touch of yellow in the center. Monstera is a wide palm like leaf that can cover a lot of space in an arrangement.
