Anthuriums Hawaiian anthuriums are bright, bold and long lasting. Red anthurium is the most popular and other colors are not seen so often on the mainland. Medium anthuriums are 4 to 6 inches across. Tulip anthurims are smaller and more narrow. Obake anthuriums are varigated in shades of green and pink, red or purple including the watermelon variety. Anthuriums are among the longest lasting of the tropicals though they should not be exposed to heat, cold or bruising.

Dendrobium Orchids Our Hawaiian dendrobium orchids are the same hybrids we use for Hawaiian lei making and loose orchid blossoms. Each orchid spray is 12-16 inches long, with typically 15-20 orchid blossoms. Dendrobium orchid blossoms are about 2-3 inches across.

Protea Our protea come from up country Maui and are most plentiful in the winter and spring months. The king protea are quite large and will dominate most arrangements. Mink are the next largest followed by the pincushion protea which come in orange and yellow. King and mink protea make long lasting dried flowers.

Heliconia Hawaiian heliconia flowers range from the large, bold uprights to the smaller ryzo heliconia. Tropic fleur are similar to bird of paradise and are used when birds are not available. The uprights are 10 to 18 inches while birds and tropic fleur are about 6 inch blooms. Ryzo heliconia are also called psitticorum and are 3 inch flowers.

Hawaiian Ginger Hawaiian ginger is a tall flower in red or pink and is found year round throughout Hawaii. We also offer a variety of exotic ginger and costus which are available according to the season. These include beehive ginger, Indian head, rattlesnake and shampoo ginger as well as the very large torch ginger.
